Cancellation and Refund Policy

ATA Training Center Inc.

This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") is intended to provide clarity and fairness to both students and ATA Training Center Inc. (“ATA” or “the School”) regarding cancellations and requests for tuition refunds. By enrolling in ATA's programs, students agree to abide by this Policy as part of their enrollment contract and the general Terms & Conditions.

1. Tuition is Non-Transferable

All tuition and fees paid to ATA are non-transferable. Students may not transfer their tuition, registration, or course participation to another individual, program, or future session under any circumstances.

2. Cancellation by ATA

ATA reserves the right to cancel any course or training program prior to its scheduled start date due to insufficient enrollment, instructor availability, facility issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Full Refund: In the event ATA cancels a program prior to its start, students will receive a 100% refund of any tuition or fees paid.

  • No Further Liability: ATA shall not be responsible for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to travel, lodging, or lost wages, resulting from such cancellation.

3. Student-Initiated Cancellation (Before Program Start)

Students may cancel their enrollment by submitting a written notice of cancellation to ATA prior to the program start date.

  • Within 3 Business Days of Enrollment: If cancellation is made in writing within three (3) business days of signing the enrollment agreement and prior to the program start date, the student is entitled to a full refund of all tuition and fees paid.

  • More than 3 Business Days Before Start Date: If cancellation occurs more than three (3) business days after enrollment but before the start of the program, ATA will retain a non-refundable registration fee (if applicable), and refund the remaining tuition paid.

4. Student-Initiated Withdrawal (After Program Start)

If a student voluntarily withdraws from the program after the official start date, tuition refunds will be issued based on the following schedule:

Note: The refund is calculated based on total tuition paid, regardless of any payment plan.

5. No Refund Scenarios

No refund will be issued in the following cases:

  • If the student is dismissed due to violation of the school’s Code of Conduct, Drug and Alcohol Policy, or failure to meet safety or regulatory requirements.

  • If the student fails to attend without formally withdrawing in writing.

  • If the student fails to meet medical or DOT physical qualifications after the program starts.

  • If the student attempts to transfer tuition or enrollment to another party (see Section 1).

6. Refund Processing

  • Timeline: Approved refunds will be processed within 30 calendar days from the date a written cancellation or withdrawal notice is received.

  • Form of Payment: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method or by check, as applicable.

7. Appeals & Disputes

Students who believe they are entitled to a refund outside of this policy may submit a written appeal to ATA’s administrative office. All appeals must be submitted within 15 calendar days of the student’s official withdrawal or dismissal date.

8. Policy Updates

ATA reserves the right to update or amend this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Any updates will be communicated in writing and will apply prospectively to new enrollments.
